In the drunkard by Frank O' Connor,describe 2 main aspects of Mick Delaney's character that are revealed in the story.

One of the things we learn very early on is that Mick Delaney has a very serious weakness for "the drink."  His wife knows this, and of course sends Larry along to be the gaurd against his father going to the bar after the funeral.

We also learn that Mick is capable of reflection on his own character.  As he watches Larry get progressively drunker and feels more and more ashamed while watching his son mimic his own behavior while under the influence, he starts to see, perhaps in a way he never did before, the downfall of his own behavior and weakness for drinking.
