In my mind, one of the major symbols is the fashion world and the objects of fashion. Naturally, "Prada" would be one such object as well as Hermes scarves. The symbolic functions of the elements of fashion and the fashion world operate on a couple of levels. The first would be the notion of beauty and how these representations of "beauty" might actually represent some of the worst in human nature. Miranda's dominating and cruel behavior is always masked in the best shoes, the best coats and sunglasses, as well as the Chanel gown. Fashion masks and conceals ugliness.
